Welcome CHS Freshmen
This information is to confirm your course requests for the 2013-2014 school year.
In creating the master schedule, we do our best to accommodate course requests. Period conflicts and full classes can require us to use a student’s alternate selection. You will receive your official schedule during registration in August.
Honor placements are reflected in these course requests. If you would like to sign a “waiver” to take an honors level math or English class they can be found on the Carlsbad High School website (carlsbadhs.schoolloop.com), click the Guidance tab, and then forms.
Please review course requests in your Aeries Portal account. Click on the “Student Info” tab, then “course requests”. If you would like to make changes to your English or math placement by signing a waiver, fax the waiver form to (760) 720-3828 or drop it off at the CHS front desk by Monday, June 24th. A confirmation of your request will follow through school loop.
All courses at Carlsbad High School are expected to be at or near capacity. Parent or student requests for course changes after Monday, June 24th, cannot be accommodated.
The Aeries Portal
Thank you for entering your course selections for the 2013-2013 school year through the Aeries Portal.
If you have not yet turned in your course selection sheet, please turn it in immediately to your counselor. Also, if you do not plan to attend CHS next year, please let your counselor know.
The Aeries Portal is a valuable tool that allows you to view and print transcripts, grades, test scores, etc. If you have not yet logged onto the Aeries portal, please do so. Our goal is to have all parents/guardians and students enrolled in the Aeries portal to allow families access to important student information as well as to go paperless for the four progress reports that are given to students at the 7-week and 13-week periods during each semester.
Beginning May 10th, parents/students will be able to view their 13-week progress report in the Aeries portal. Progress reports will be mailed only if the student has received a D, F, or Incomplete grade.
